At Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Faculty of Dentistry, a training session on the National Core Curriculum for Dentistry Education (DUÇEP) was held as part of the Training of Trainers Program, with the aim of enhancing faculty members’ competencies in education and teaching processes and contributing to the improvement of educational quality.

The training was conducted by our faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katibe Tuğçe Temur and Assist. Prof. Dr. Pelin Atalay Seçkiner. The session covered the fundamental principles of DUÇEP, its role and significance in dental education, the planning of educational programs in accordance with national core education standards, and the alignment of course contents with DUÇEP.

The training also addressed the development of a common approach among faculty members in educational processes, ensuring alignment between learning outcomes and educational programs, and strengthening the student-centered education approach.

The DUÇEP training, conducted within the scope of the Training of Trainers Program, is expected to contribute to increasing faculty members’ knowledge and awareness of educational processes, improving teaching practices, and supporting the continuous enhancement of the quality of education and training at our Faculty.
