Objectives

General Objectives of Dental Education

Our aim is to educate dentists who know how to access information, promote productivity, embrace lifelong learning, respect ethical values, develop communication and empathy skills, act responsibly, are prone to teamwork, and possess leadership qualities. Additionally, we aim to be an institution equipped with the necessary infrastructure and equipment to continuously conduct research and educational activities by training dentists, specialist dentists, and academicians with advanced professional knowledge and skills at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.


General Objectives of Oral and Dental Health Services

With the goal of protecting individual and public health, we aim to provide uninterrupted, high-quality healthcare services—even in times of crisis—by using current medical diagnostic and treatment methods, adhering to ethical values, basing practices on scientific foundations, complying with contemporary standards, and prioritizing patient rights and safety.


General Objective of Research Areas

Focusing on the health problems of our country and region, we aim to contribute to universal knowledge by conducting ethical and scientific studies aimed at understanding and solving health problems and improving healthcare and health services.


Educational Objectives of the Faculty of Dentistry

OBJECTIVE 1.1: To promote the broader implementation of effective learning methods in education.
OBJECTIVE 1.2: To keep the undergraduate dental education program up-to-date within the scope of the National Core Dental Education Program (DUÇEP).
OBJECTIVE 1.3: To update the curriculum in alignment with the Dental Specialization Examination (DUS), and in accordance with basic medical and clinical sciences.
OBJECTIVE 1.4: To prioritize public health issues in the development of the educational program.
OBJECTIVE 1.5: To provide students with sufficient clinical practice opportunities to develop their theoretical and practical skills.
OBJECTIVE 1.6: To equip students with competence in dentistry by providing access to clinical practice areas and laboratories outfitted with advanced technologies.
OBJECTIVE 1.7: To ensure that the dental education program fosters leadership, teamwork, effective communication, risk management, and respect for ethical rules and behaviors.
OBJECTIVE 1.8: To enrich the educational experience by creating a dynamic dental education program that is continuously assessed and improved.
