PLO1
Identifies the causes and mechanisms of development of oral, dental, and maxillofacial diseases; the symptoms they cause; the resulting structural and functional disorders; and how they affect the organism.

PLO2
Detects normal and pathological conditions of oral and dental tissues by utilizing knowledge from basic and clinical sciences.

PLO3
Possesses fundamental and current knowledge in clinical, social, and technical sciences required by the dental profession; is capable of using all instruments necessary to maintain oral and dental health.

PLO4
Follows evidence-based scientific publications related to dentistry throughout professional life and applies current knowledge to clinical practice.

PLO5
Evaluates the nature, sources, limitations, accuracy, reliability, and validity of information.

PLO6
Analyzes and synthesizes interdisciplinary knowledge specific to the field of dentistry at the undergraduate level; shares, compares, and exchanges information with colleagues.

PLO7
Applies infection control measures effectively during clinical practices to prevent cross-contamination.

PLO8
Can develop projects related to dentistry and participate in national and international studies; plans and carries out clinical and laboratory studies in accordance with ethical and hygienic rules, with respect for patient rights and human values.

PLO9
Follows professional rules and laws, examines national and international policies and practices related to oral and dental health, evaluates their potential outcomes, and generates and presents ideas.

PLO10
Takes a comprehensive medical, oral, and dental history from patients and keeps accurate patient records; correlates findings from clinical, radiological, and other diagnostic tests, and performs the most appropriate treatment for the patient considering ethical and legal responsibilities. Refers to specialists for treatments beyond their expertise.

PLO11
Establishes qualified communication based on mutual understanding, trust, and respect with patients, their relatives, colleagues, and other professionals in the working environment; behaves appropriately from a psychological perspective to patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds.

PLO12
Has sufficient awareness of universal social rights, social justice, cultural value preservation, clinical management, auxiliary staff training, efficient work organization, occupational disease prevention, environmental protection, waste management, and occupational health and safety, and is able to implement necessary practices.

PLO13
Performs dental procedures for individuals requiring special care or with systemic diseases, or refers them to fully equipped healthcare centers when necessary.

PLO14
Implements preventive dentistry practices in the clinic and participates in community-based oral and dental health programs and projects planned at local or national levels.

PLO15
Knows the normal structure and function of the human body at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and system levels; distinguishes alterations in these structures and functions that occur during disease.
