General Objectives of Dental Education

Our aim is to educate dentists who know how to access information, promote productivity, embrace lifelong learning, respect ethical values, develop communication and empathy skills, act responsibly, are team-oriented, and possess leadership qualities. Furthermore, we aim to be an institution equipped with the necessary infrastructure and facilities to continuously conduct research and teaching activities by training dentists, specialist dentists, and academicians with high professional knowledge and skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.


General Objectives of Oral and Dental Health Services

With the aim of protecting individual and public health, we strive to provide high-quality healthcare services—utilizing modern diagnostic and treatment methods, adhering to ethical principles, based on scientific foundations, and in accordance with contemporary standards—while prioritizing patient rights and safety, even in times of crisis.


General Objective of Research Areas

Focusing on the health problems of our country and region, we aim to contribute to universal knowledge by conducting ethical and scientific research to understand and solve health-related issues and improve healthcare services.


Learning Objectives of the Faculty of Dentistry

GOAL 1.1: To promote the wider application of effective learning methods in education.
GOAL 1.2: To ensure that the undergraduate curriculum in accordance with the National Core Education Program in Dentistry (DUÇEP) remains current and up-to-date.
GOAL 1.3: To update the course curriculum in alignment with the Dental Specialty Examination (DUS), as well as with basic medical and clinical sciences.
GOAL 1.4: To prioritize public health issues in the development of the educational program.
GOAL 1.5: To provide sufficient clinical practice opportunities for students to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
GOAL 1.6: To enable students to gain competence in dentistry by offering clinical practice areas and laboratories equipped with advanced technologies.
GOAL 1.7: To implement the dental education program in a way that fosters leadership, teamwork, effective communication, risk management, and adherence to ethical rules and behaviors.
GOAL 1.8: To enrich the educational experience by creating a dynamic dental education program that is continuously evaluated and improved.
