The “Workshop on New Approaches to Social Contribution and Regional Cooperation,” organized in cooperation with the KOP Regional Development Administration and UNIKOP, was hosted by Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University with broad participation.

The workshop was attended by the Governor of Niğde, Mr. Nedim Akmeşe; Niğde Member of Parliament Prof. Dr. Cevahir Uzkurt; Deputy Mayor Mr. Muharrem Çifcibaşı; the Rector of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu; and other members of the provincial protocol.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kevser Kurt Demirsoy, Chief Physician of the Oral and Dental Health Application and Research Center of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University and Chair of the Scientific Committee of the workshop, also took part in the event.

Within the scope of the workshop, social contribution processes, collaboration models focused on regional development, and the role of universities in these processes were discussed. Throughout the program, stakeholders shared knowledge and experience, and important evaluations were made to enhance regional cooperation.

The workshop is expected to contribute to strengthening university–public sector collaboration and to improving the effectiveness of social contribution activities.
