As a result of the evaluation process conducted by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK), our faculty’s Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering undergraduate programs have been awarded full accreditation for five years (until September 30, 2031).

The direct award of five-year full accreditation to both of our programs demonstrates that they have been successfully evaluated in terms of educational quality, academic infrastructure, continuous improvement approach, and compliance with international standards.

Through MÜDEK: (1) Engineering programs certify that they meet both European and high international standards with the EUR-ACE® Label, thereby ensuring their recognition by European employers. (2) The Washington Accord is part of the International Engineering Alliance. It provides program and diploma recognition across 23 countries, including the USA, Australia, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Japan, and Canada.

Our Graduates Will Have a Voice in the International Arena

Under the MÜDEK accreditation, our programs have also earned the right to use the EUR-ACE (European Accredited Engineer) Label granted by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE). Thus, students graduating from the Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering programs will gain a significant achievement that strengthens the international recognition of their diplomas, securing a stronger position in the global workforce market and international engineering projects.

Commenting on the achievement, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, emphasized that the five-year full accreditation granted by MÜDEK is an important indicator of our university’s quality-oriented educational approach.

Rector Uslu stated:

"We have achieved a deeply proud success on behalf of our university. The fact that our Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering programs earned a 5-year full accreditation directly—without requiring any interim evaluation process—clearly demonstrates that our educational activities meet international quality standards. This success is the collective product of planned, determined, and teamwork-driven effort."

Stating that Quality Assurance efforts are being carried out with determination across all academic units, Rector Uslu added:

"Our goal is to reinforce sustainable quality in education, equip our students with the skills to compete internationally, and elevate our university's academic prestige even further. The fact that our Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering programs gained the right to use the EUR-ACE (European Accredited Engineer) Label alongside the five-year full accreditation from MÜDEK will also strengthen the international recognition of our graduates' diplomas. Thanks to this, our students will obtain significant advantages in the international labor market, engineering projects, and postgraduate education processes. I wholeheartedly congratulate our Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, department heads, academic and administrative staff, and students who contributed to this important achievement."
