Goals

1. To educate engineers who have the knowledge, skills and attitudes required by the geological engineering profession and field.

2. To educate engineers who can use the information they have acquired in the field of geological engineering, interpret the data they obtain and solve problems.

3. To educate engineers who know the geological changes the world has gone through, its history and structure.

4. To educate engineers who know the materials that make up our world and especially the earth's crust.

5. To educate engineers who can conduct studies aimed at the exploration of natural resources (mines, industrial raw materials, building materials and water resources, etc.).

6. To educate engineers who can recognize geological problems encountered in engineering structures and produce solution proposals.

7. To train engineers who have knowledge of geological events (earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, etc.) occurring on earth and can foresee the natural disasters they may cause with their possible geological effects.

8. To educate engineers who know geotechnical research methods and who can contribute to the construction and building sector in terms of ground-based data in light of this knowledge.

9. To educate engineers who have the ability to use new tools and methods related to geology and who can work in teams, in parallel with the innovations and technology of the age with the understanding of lifelong learning.
