WoCo2026 Closing Day: TAGEM Visit and Final General Assembly Held

The 69th IAAS World Congress (WoCo2026) concluded on its 11th day with a closing program hosted by the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) in Ankara.

The closing program reviewed the technical tours, academic events, and cultural activities held during the congress, and participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and achievements from WoCo2026. Young agricultural leaders from different countries emphasized that the congress provided an important platform for international cooperation and knowledge sharing.

As part of the program, participants visited the TAGEM Botanical Garden. During the technical tour, experts provided detailed information about the plant species, plant collections, conservation efforts, and applications used in agricultural research. Participants had the opportunity to get to know Turkey's plant diversity closely and to examine the work carried out in terms of sustainable agriculture on site.

The final part of the day was the General Assembly meeting of WoCo2026. During the meeting, the decisions made during the congress were reviewed, and IAAS's future activities, international projects, and collaborations among student societies were discussed. Participants shared their views and suggestions, thus completing the official program of the congress.
