Learning Outcomes Of the Course 
ÖÇ1Students will be able to explain the key turning points, crises, and transformations in Turkish foreign policy from 1960 to the present.
ÖÇ2Students will be able to evaluate Türkiye’s foreign policy within regional (the Middle East, the Balkans, the Caucasus, etc.) and global power dynamics.
ÖÇ3Students will be able to discuss the roles of actors—such as state institutions, leaders, and public opinion—that influence the formation of foreign policy in Türkiye.
ÖÇ5Students will be able to compare Türkiye’s relations—with the Western alliance (NATO, the EU, etc.), neighboring countries, and rising powers—within a historical context between 1960 and 2025.
ÖÇ6Students will be able to develop a critical perspective on current foreign policy issues and present alternative policy proposals
ÖÇ6By examining Türkiye’s foreign policy crises (the Cyprus issue, claims regarding the Armenian Genocide, the Syrian civil war, tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean, etc.), students will be able to discuss potential solutions.
