Course Objectives 
1To enable students to grasp the main orientations of Turkish foreign policy since 1960, its period-specific turning points, and elements of continuity.
2To equip students with the ability to analyze the internal and external factors that influence Türkiye’s foreign policy-making process during the Cold War and in the twenty-first century.
3To develop the competence to evaluate Türkiye’s relations with international and regional organizations such as NATO, the EU, the UN, and the OIC in historical and strategic contexts.
4To develop the ability to make sense of Türkiye’s role in global politics by comparatively examining its foreign policies in regions such as the Middle East, the Caucasus, the Balkans, Africa, and the Asia–Pacific.
5To equip students with the ability to evaluate Turkish foreign policy— in light of current developments—together with new themes such as media, public diplomacy, energy security, migration, human rights, and climate change.
