Course Objective
To determine the importance of maternal and child nutrition, physiological, metabolic, and endocrine changes during pregnancy and lactation, and their interactions with nutrition, the importance and characteristics of breast milk in infant nutrition, prepared/commercial formulas and their characteristics, complementary feeding, monitoring and evaluation of growth and development, nutritional characteristics in the preschool, school, and adolescent periods, and nutritional problems and suggested solutions.
Brief Content of the Course
The importance of infant and child nutrition in our country, nutrition during pregnancy and lactation, nutrition in childhood and adolescence, nutrition in premature infants, monitoring growth, and diet therapy constitute the brief content of the course.
