NÖHÜ Awards Found Their Winners


At the ceremonies held at our university’s Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Congress and Culture Center, our faculty members donned their academic gowns, and awards presented in various categories also found their recipients.

New Division and Master’s Program Established at Our University


The proposal to establish the “Interdisciplinary Computer Science and Information Technologies” Division and to launch the “M.Sc. Program in Information Sciences and Technologies (with Thesis)” has been approved at the Executive Board meeting of the Council of Higher Education dated February 18, 2026. The decision has been received through the YÖKSİS/Academic Unit Tree Management System (ABAYS). With the establishment of this new division and graduate program, it is aimed to conduct advanced education and research activities in the field of information technologies through an interdisciplinary approach. The program is expected to contribute to academic development and to the training of highly qualified experts in the field.

New Department Established at Our Faculty: Data Science and Analytics


The establishment of the “Department of Data Science and Analytics” within our Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences has been approved by the Council of Higher Education on March 24, 2026. The decision has been communicated to our faculty via the YÖKSİS/ABAYS system. With this new department, it is aimed to educate qualified individuals in areas such as big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics. We wish this development to be beneficial for our university and students.

Our Faculty's Academic Council Meeting was held


The Academic Board Meeting of our faculty was held under the chairmanship of our Dean, Prof. Dr. Alper Aytekin, on 17/12/2025 in the Meeting Hall of the Faculty of Engineering.

Our faculty member Dr. Mehmet Nadir Kurnaz's project has received support from TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey).


Our Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences member, Dr. Mehmet Nadir Kurnaz, has had his machine learning-supported hybrid microwave imaging project, in which he serves as a researcher, deemed worthy of support under the TÜBİTAK 1001 program.
