Course Objective
The aim is to enable students to apply the sewing techniques necessary for the production of jackets or coats using technical parts and real applications. Students are encouraged to think about design and production techniques such as sustainable resource use, advanced recycling, and zero waste. In addition, the aim is to raise ethical awareness and ensure understanding of the potential environmental impact of fabrics or materials.
Brief Content of the Course
Model-fabric and color preferences suitable for individuals' body types, model selection and fabric selection appropriate for the type of garment, decorative techniques and accessories used, sustainable resource use, advanced recycling and zero waste design and production techniques, ethical awareness and the potential environmental impacts of fabrics or materials, jacket-coat-cloak pattern preparation, prototype work, lining techniques, and various applications of closure, collar, sleeve, and pocket techniques on jackets or coats for garment production.
