Course Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with the ability to prepare three-dimensional patterns and design clothes with the draping technique. Encouraging students to think about design and production techniques such as sustainable sourcing, upcycling and zero waste.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition of draping, the place and importance of draping method in clothing, recognizing mannequins, fabrics and tools suitable for the purpose of draping, recognizing body anatomy and measuring over the body, determining body lines on a mannequin, applying draping techniques for various garments, draping and free form applications, obliquely various form applications on cutting, trial studies of the clothes designed within the scope of the project on the model. Design and production techniques such as sustainable sourcing, upcycling and zero waste.
