Course Objective
The basic theories and concepts of the art history discipline, the formation of the phenomena and images that are the subject of art history in the historical process and examining the stages of change.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition of art, concepts of art and artist, emergence of artworks of civilizations since prehistoric period of art effects and properties. Prehistoric period, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greek, Roman, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Industry Revolution, Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism, Expressionism, Art Nouveau, Dadaism, Cubism, Futurism, De Stijl, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Op Art, Post-Modernism. Sustainability in cultural heritage.
