Course Objective
To discuss the theoretical background of local governments and the values on which they are based, which constitute an important part of public administration, and within this framework, to examine the duties, powers, establishment, organizational structure, organization, financial structure, inter-governmental relations, etc. of local government units in our country. to examine it from all aspects.

Definition of local governments, their importance, the values they are based on; local government and local administrations, local governments and local democracy in constitutions, local government organizations; Municipality, Metropolitan Municipality, Provincial Special Administration and Villages; their duties, bodies and management, local government unions, service methods in local governments, central government-local government relations, sustainable development of local governments, development of local governments.
