Course Objective
The aim is to explain and teach meta-ethical concepts such as Fair Play, Olympism, and Sportsmanship in sports, and to ensure that students demonstrate virtuous sporting behavior when faced with unsportsmanlike or unethical conduct in their professional careers.
Brief Content of the Course
This course will cover the concepts of Fair Play, Olympism, Sportsmanship, and Gentlemanliness. Real-life sports incidents will be examined as case studies to define virtuous sporting behavior. The course will also explore the origins and development of these concepts, the challenges they face, and their role and significance in school physical education.
