Course Objective
The aim of this course is to have knowledge and analytical understanding of Turkey's social structure and the relationships between the components of the structure, and to be familiar with historical and structural dynamics.
Brief Content of the Course
This course includes topics such as theoretical frameworks to understand the general structure of Turkey, Turkey's modernization process, demographic and socio-cultural characteristics, geopolitical contexts, politics, economy, ethnic structure, education, religion and gender. In addition, some themes related to sustainability in connection with Turkey's social structure are also touched upon.
