1To understand the historical, economic, and sociological structure of rural societies in Turkey and around the world.
2To evaluate the effects of agriculture on social structure, economy, and culture in both historical and contemporary contexts.
3To compare rural education models unique to Turkey, such as Village Institutes, with universal rural education approaches.
4To analyze the social impacts of rural-to-urban migration and other rural movements.
5To critically assess rural women and gender roles in both Turkish and global contexts.
6To comparatively analyze examples of rural sociology in Turkey and other countries and conduct academic research
7To evaluate rural society, agriculture, and rural development policies from a critical and argumentative perspective.
