Course Objective
The aim of the Introduction to Law course is to educate graduates who can understand the fundamental concepts of law and have knowledge of different areas of law.
Brief Content of the Course
The course aims to provide knowledge on fundamental topics such as the basic elements of law, sources of law and the hierarchy of sources, imperative, supplementary, and interpretative legal rules, the judge's authority in filling legal gaps, interpretation, and discretion, the role of good faith in acquiring rights, the principle of honesty, the law of persons, natural and legal persons, legal capacity and capacity to act, branches of law, the enactment and application of laws, the beginning and end of legal personality, legal capacity and capacity to act, the concepts of rights and obligations, debt relationships and liability, as well as the acquisition and loss of rights. A connection between fundamental legal concepts and sustainability will be explored.
