1Providing Disaster Awareness: To ensure that teacher candidates are aware of the causes, types and effects of disasters.
2Developing Risk Assessment Skills: To provide the competence to identify, analyze and develop strategies to reduce disaster risks.
3Ability to Make Emergency Planning: To provide the skills to create disaster management plans in schools, organize evacuation processes and provide crisis management.
4Ability to Provide Disaster Education: To make teacher candidates competent in creating disaster awareness for students, providing safe behavioral habits and providing psychosocial support after a disaster.
5Increasing Social Resilience: To encourage teachers to lead the society and strengthen the spirit of solidarity before, during and after a disaster.
6Learning Disaster Management Legislation: To ensure that they understand the institutions, policies and legal regulations related to disaster management in Turkey and the world.
7Acquiring First Aid and Emergency Response Skills: To learn basic first aid practices and what to do in a crisis.
