Course Objective
The aim of this course is to have knowledge of prospective social studies teachers about the theoretical foundations of curriculum development and accordingly, to enable them to know the social studies curriculum theoretically and historically. Also teacher It is also aimed that the candidates can compare the social studies curriculum applied in different countries.
Brief Content of the Course
Basic concepts about teaching programs; development of social studies curriculum from past to present; the approach, content, and skills aimed to develop; learning and sub-learning areas; distribution and limits of achievements by class, relationship with other courses; methods, techniques, tools and materials used; measurement and evaluation approach; teacher competencies.
