Course Objectives 
1To enable students to grasp the fundamental historical transformations in Turkey’s foreign policy from the late Ottoman Empire onward.
2To equip students with the competence to explain Turkey’s foreign policy choices during 1876–1960, in their historical context and in light of international relations theories.
3To foster awareness of the domestic political dynamics, leadership approaches, and ideological orientations that influence Turkey’s foreign policy.
4To equip students with the ability to analyze systemic, regional, and actor-based factors in foreign policy-making processes.
5To instill the habit of conducting analyses on Turkish foreign policy in accordance with scientific and ethical standards by using academic sources and historical documents.
