Course Objective
It is to evaluate the roles and decisiveness levels of different actors in the planning and space formation processes within the planning discipline, and to develop students' awareness and sensitivity. Thus, it is to contribute to democracy and participation awareness in the context of professional practice and professional ethics, and to discuss the legitimacy of participation.
Brief Content of the Course
Participation and democracy theories; the concepts of public interest and representation; decision-making processes and decision environments; Basic problems in participation, participation models and techniques in planning; Examination of examples of participation in planning, evaluation of problems.
