Course Objective
Students to take part in archaeological excavations and the conduct of field studies in different types of artifacts unearthed in excavations, and inventory documentation to acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge.
Brief Content of the Course
Different methods applied in residential and structures are explained. Technological tools and equipment, project planning, data collection, documentation and evaluation methods are taught with examples. Excavations and surveys in Turkey, the development of art history, excavations and studies in progress are described. Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods in Anatolia by selecting one of the sites of excavations and surveys, and historical sites are inspected.
