Course Objective
To teach the general characteristics, taxonomy and systematics of woody Angiosperm members distributed around the world. To introduce the morphological characteristics of naturally distributed trees and shrubs in Turkey, to teach their ecological requirements and for what purposes they can be used in the field of landscape architecture.
Brief Content of the Course
Plant world in general, flora and vegetation, nomenclature of plants, tree, shrub and shrub species belonging to Angiosperms (angiosperm plants), general characteristics and systematics, introduction of broad-leaved woody plants growing in the world and especially in Turkey, important genera, species and subspecies, botanical characteristics of their culture and varieties, habitat and distribution, evaluation of plants in terms of aesthetic and functional usage properties in landscape architecture.
