Course Objective
The aim of this course is to provide basic skills in the preparation of spectacle glasses for eyeglasses prescription given by ophthalmologists. In this sense, theoretical knowledge is applied. In this stage, professional practice related activities are carried out in a laboratory environment to help students gain practical experience in their fields.
Brief Content of the Course
How to choose the frame according to the type of face of the people, standards on the frame of glasses, glass assembly according to the frames, axial determination, PL-CYL, SPH-CYL glasses, calculation of the dioptric forces of the lenses in different meridians, evaluation of the prescriptions written by the doctor and the correct glass to the patients by evaluating the lenses and frame combination, the visual axis of the visual axis of the eye drop on the horizontal and vertical axis marking, lens and structural properties, lenses geometric and optical centers, single and multi-focus lenses for eye-to-eye focusing procedures, schematic and non-schematic prescription reading, the writing rules of prescriptions, control of prescription information, prismatic prescription, prism dioptris, lens and glass ordering procedure are given.
