Course Objectives 
1 To teach students the aims, reasons and principles of the identification of individuals with special abilities.
2To introduce and comprehend different diagnostic methods (norm-based, criterion-based, sample-based) and approaches (individual-based, program-based).
3To develop students' ability to evaluate the process by explaining the phases and application steps of the diagnostic process.
4 To teach the structure, usage areas and limitations of intelligence and ability scales (Anadolu-Sak, Weschler, Stanford-Binet, Raven etc.).
5To enable students to develop a critical perspective by discussing current problems encountered in diagnostics (percentage problem, unequal representation, ceiling effect).
