Course Objective
It is to develop students' technical skills on their individual instruments at an advanced level.
Brief Content of the Course
Violin II: First-position right- and left-hand techniques using four strings; finger-bow transitions on same and different strings; détaché and legato bowing; simple double-stop studies; four-octave scale exercises; performance of national and international works appropriate to technical and musical level. Viola II: First-position techniques; right- and left-hand coordination; finger-bow exercises on same/different strings; détaché and legato bowing; open-string double-stop studies; four-octave scale exercises; small-scale national and international polyphonic solo or accompanied works. Violoncello II: First-position four-string techniques; right- and left-hand skills; finger-bow transitions on same/different strings; détaché and legato bowing; simple double-stop exercises; scale studies in different keys; national and international works at an appropriate technical and musical level. Concordance: First-position four-string techniques; right- and left-hand application; finger and bow transitions on same/different strings; correct détaché and legato application; four-string scale exercises; performance of national and international works matching technical and musical skills. Bağlama II: Use of middle and upper strings; triple and complex tunings; exercises for handling irregular and unconventional techniques. Flute II: Accurate production of first and second octave notes; application of different articulations; diaphragm control; long tones; scale exercises; performance of sonatinas, sonatas, and small-scale Baroque, Classical, Romantic national and international works. Guitar: Continuation of individual technique and musical development; apoyando, tirando, arpeggio, barre, legato studies; two-octave single-note exercises; study of classical guitar repertoire; interpretive discussion on aesthetics, musicality, and performance concepts. Ud: Practice in 1st position with Çargah, Askefza, Acemasiran, Mahur, Nihavend, Kürdi, Buselik; exercises for position II and Segah; application of technical and musical skills.
