Course Objective
Basic principles of data acquisition and control applications.
Brief Content of the Course
Principles of data collection, computer organization, serial and parallel data communications with computer, PCI and ISA buses, Analog to Digital Data Conversion, Data types, Sampling Theorem, Alias concept and Anti-aliasing filters, signal conditioning techniques and noise canceling techniques, DAQ and rapid prototyping cards, measurement and monitoring systems at micro-and nano-technology, and applications. Efficiency and sustainability in data collecting systems. Strategies for the sustainability of the useage of the knowledge acquired after this course.
