Course Objective
To be able to comprehend and solve many problems and differential equations in Physics and Engineering by forming a background in applied mathematics and to gain the skills to understand some orthogonal function families.
Brief Content of the Course
Gamma function, Beta function, Legendre differential equation and Legendre Polynomials, Hermite differential equation and Hermite Polynomials, Laguerre differential equation and Laguerre Polynomials, Bessel differential equation and its solution, Gaussian differential equation and hypergeometric functions, Fourier series and their relation with sustainability engineering
