Course Objective
An overview of the characteristics of the groundwater aquifer systems and groundwater flow bilgi. Yeraltısuyu physics, Advective and dispersive transport, groundwater flow modeling, boundary conditions, mathematical models, computer programs are used in groundwater modeling, Laplace and Poisson equations representation.
Brief Content of the Course
Introduction to Groundwater Modeling, Design of Conceptional Models, Groundwater Models, Flow and Transport Processes, Governing Groundwater Equations, Numerical Methods to Solve Equations (Basics of Finite-Difference Methods, Basics of Finite-Element Methods, Basics of Method-of-Characteristics Methods, Matrix Solution Techniques, Boundary and Initial Conditions) Model Design, Development, and Application, Model Clibration. Use of hydrogeological models for sustainable groundwater management plans.
