Course Objective
Teaching of basic terms relevant dam and engineering geological investigations at dam site and reservoir site.
Brief Content of the Course
General description of the dam and tunnel projects, content development and introduction of the typical examples of dam and tunnel projects. Geological structure (faults, anticlines, synclinal, natural slopes, slope effects), the effects of these projects. Geotechnical properties of soil and rock environment review and examination of various rock classification systems.
