Course Objective
The main aim of this course is to examine the role of tourism in the economy and to evaluate the basic economic issues in detail from the point of view of tourism. In this context, information related to tourism and economy relation, tourism demand, tourism supply, tourism market, determination of equilibrium price in tourism market and importance of tourism in Turkish economy will be given.
Brief Content of the Course
Basic concepts related to tourism, tourism and economic relations, tourism demand, tourism supply, determination of equilibrium price in tourism market, balance in tourism, consumer behaviors in tourism, positive and negative economic effects of tourism, methods of measuring economic effects of tourism and tourism in Turkish economy Topics will be discussed. To comprehend the concept of sustainability and its application domains.
