Course Objective
The aim of the course of makam applications in Qur'anic recitation is to enable students to reach an effective reading awareness with the use of appropriate voice and makam that supports the meaning in the recitation of the Qur'an.
Brief Content of the Course
The course on maqam applications in Quran recitation introduces the vocal techniques used to make recitation more effective and beautiful. The course teaches the basic characteristics of the most common maqams (Hicaz, Rast, Saba, etc.), how to apply them, and their compatibility with tajweed rules. Students gain a style that is both correct and appealing to the listener.
