Course Objective
The objective of this course is to teach students the basic principles and techniques of field surveying, to provide practical experience in applying theoretical knowledge, and to promote awareness of sustainability by encouraging environmentally conscious practices during fieldwork.
Brief Content of the Course
Traverse observations, traverse calculations, line and surface leveling, and volume computations are core engineering practices in land planning, construction, and infrastructure projects. Integrating these techniques with sustainability principles is essential for protecting natural resources, minimizing soil displacement, preventing erosion, and reducing environmental impact. In particular, volume calculations and leveling operations should be conducted with precision to avoid unnecessary excavation and filling, supporting environmentally responsible project development.
