Course Objective
Modern and Post-modern art; to discuss by going through the movement, manifesto, artist and selected examples. To examine the conditions that prepare contemporary art, together with its historical process, and to gain a critical perspective.
Brief Content of the Course
Starting from the Romanticism movement, which is one of the first cores of the radical transformations in the field of art, to examine the movements and thought practices that have shaped the 20th century and today's art in cause and effect relationship. Of these currents; Fauvism, Expressionism, Cubism, Futurism, Dada Movement, Surrealism, Neorealism, Bauhaus practice in Germany, Pop art, Minimalism Conceptual Art, Photo Realism, Land art, New Expressionism and New Abstraction, video art and contemporary art. Examining and discussing over examples of all forms.
