Course Objective
Aim of Graphic Art History Course in Graphic Design Programme, Department of Design: The aim of the Graphic Art History course is to provide graphic designer candidates with the knowledge of commenting on twenty-first century graphic design, the development of typography, art movements affecting graphic design, art and design philosophies, starting from the invention of writing.
Brief Content of the Course
The discovery of the writing and the first samples of writing, graphic art in the Renaissance period, graphic art in the Industrial period and after, graphic art in the twentieth century and after, fundamentals and historical development of Turkish graphic art history.
