Course Objective
The aim of this course is to teach students the history of Turkish music and its interaction with other cultures and music throughout history. To obtain general and theoretical information about the current situation.
Brief Content of the Course
Music elements belonging to Turkish communities living in Central Asia and Anatolia, Turkish mythology (human, creation, religious rituals and holidays, etc.), mythological elements in Turkish Folk Music exist in Turkish states and communities musical genres, the development of Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Art Music in the historical process, interplay of different traditions and styles, with instruments, composers, performers and exemplary works.
