1To teach students the transition process of Kazakh literature into the contemporary period;
2Understand the impact of the social, political, and cultural developments at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century on literature;
3To introduce the pioneering writers and poets of modern Kazakh literature;
4To develop students' skills in literary text analysis and interpretation.
