Course Objective
Teaching basic consepts of environmental modelling and environmental model applications
Brief Content of the Course
Introduction to key concepts of modelling, types, purpose and use of environmental models. basic physical and mathematical concepts and principles of environmental modeling: equation of continuity, generalized mass and energy balance, reactors and reactions, initial and boundary value problems, development of mathematical models for selected environmental systems, analytical and numerical solution techniques for selected model equations, computer applications related to numerical methods using various software packages, case studies for model development and applications related to water quality; Sustainability and development of environmental parameters management and waste disposal.
