Course Objective
Gaining knowledge and experience about the sources, quantities, characteristics and rational management of sludge formed during wastewater treatment, Providing training on appropriate stabilization technologies of sewage sludge, Researching recovery, reuse and final disposal alternatives of wastewater treatment sludge.
Brief Content of the Course
Physical chemical and biological properties of sludge, sludge sources, thickening and thickeners, sludge dewatering, sludge drying beds, press filters, centrifuge, band filter, vacuum filter, sludge composting, disposal of sludge to land, sludge digestion systems, Legal Legislation on Disposal of Sewage Sludge. The course focuses on the expectations of sustainability and social responsibility.
