Course Objective
To use basic lessons in disciplines that is valid to introduce the internal structure of solid objects for all materials, to investigate the relationships between internal structures and mechanical properties, in the light of basic principles and concepts developed to provid ability of knowing and evaluation for the materials used in production.
Brief Content of the Course
Classification of engineering materials; atomic structure, atomic arrangement, crystal strcuture, crystal defects and atomic movements; Physical and mechanical properties; Behaviour under tension and compression;Force, stress, deformation and strain concept, elastic and plastic behaviour, viscosity;Creep, brittleness, ductility, hardness, and thougness properties of materials.
