Course Objective
Recognizing biometric identification systems based on physiological and/or behavioral characteristics (e.g. fingerprint, face, iris, voice...). Looking at the principles of designing, implementing and evaluating single and multiple biometric systems. To talk about the importance and methods of accurate detection in terms of information security, and to give the necessary preliminary information about signal processing and pattern recognition.

This lesson; Introduction to Biometric Systems, General Features, Building Blocks, Applications, Authentication Methods: Biometrics Based and Others, Related Signal Processing and Pattern Recognition Priorities, Feature Extractors and Classifiers, Fingerprint Recognition, Face Recognition, Iris Detection, Signature Recognition and New Elements, Multiple Biometric Systems, Cryptology and Biometrics
