Course Objective
The objective of this course is to introduce students to traditional handicrafts in Turkish culture, to understand the historical development and cultural significance of these art forms, and to teach basic techniques through practical exercises. The goal is to develop students' creative thinking, aesthetic perception, and manual skills.
Brief Content of the Course
The course covers the basic techniques and history of traditional Turkish handicrafts, including carpet and kilim weaving, marbling (water painting), calligraphy and illumination, miniature painting, ceramics, glass, and wood decoration techniques. Students are encouraged to develop skills in various art forms through hands-on work.
