Course Objective
The Physiology aims to enable students to understand the fundamental physiological processes of the human body and their impact on oral and dental health. In this context, it is intended for students to gain in-depth knowledge on topics such as cell physiology, blood physiology, muscle physiology, peripheral and autonomic nervous system physiology, mastication physiology, pain physiology, and hemostasis mechanisms. The course also aims to equip students with the ability to evaluate clinical situations and understand how physiological processes change in pathological conditions through theoretical knowledge and discussions.
Brief Content of the Course
This course begins with an introduction to physiology and cell physiology, covering blood physiology, bioelectrical potentials, muscle physiology, peripheral nervous system physiology, mastication physiology, pain physiology, and hemostasis physiology. Additionally, topics such as respiratory system physiology, digestive physiology, circulatory physiology, excretory system physiology, endocrine system, and reproductive system physiology are also addressed. Throughout the course, theoretical knowledge is reinforced with case studies and discussions to develop students' analytical thinking and clinical problem-solving skills. Mid-term and final exams are intended to help students assess their learning and identify areas for improvement.
