Course Objective
Giving basic information about nutrients, nutritional deficiencies, collective nutrition, composition of foods, teaching and applying adequate and balanced nutrition principles of students using this information.
Brief Content of the Course
The basic concepts of nutrition consist of nutritional elements (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water), energy metabolism, food groups (meat, milk, eggs, legumes, grains) and meal planning.
