Course Objective
It is aimed to introduce internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles in vehicle technology and to show the differences, to teach the motor, storage systems, motion control systems used in electric vehicles, to give the necessary information about hybrid electric vehicles.
Brief Content of the Course
Development of electric vehicles, comparison with internal combustion engines, batteries, fuel cells, and other high-energy storage devices, power converters, different types of motors and torque-speed characteristics, motor control techniques, electric vehicle modeling and key characteristics, electric vehicle motion control, optimum slip ratio control, slip and drift control, stability, fuel cell vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and series, parallel, and combined systems.
