A significant step has been taken at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Bor Halil Zöhre Ataman Vocational School to increase students' social, cultural, and environmental awareness, with the establishment of the school's first student club. The club, named "Green Transformation Club," aims to conduct activities focusing on sustainability and environmental awareness.
Lecturer Oya Özel Gürbüz serves as the club's academic advisor, and the first meeting was held following the establishment process.
At the first meeting, our Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Yavuzer, gave a speech. In his speech, Yavuzer emphasized that student clubs are an important part of university life, and stated that the establishment of a club with a "Green Transformation" theme is of great importance in light of today's global environmental problems.
Club advisor Lecturer Oya Özel Gürbüz, in her evaluation, stated, "Our aim is to contribute to the development of our students as individuals with high environmental awareness and sensitivity to sustainable living, and to guide them in producing concrete projects in this field."
The meeting also included a discussion of the club's areas of activity, short-term and long-term goals, and planned events.
