Faculty Introduction Program for High Schools: Bor Şehit Bora Çelik Anatolian High School

On Monday, May 4, 2026, an information meeting was organized for students of Bor Şehit Bora Çelik Anatolian High School by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çağdaş CİVELEK, to introduce our faculty and contribute to the students' higher education selection process.

During the meeting, students were given detailed information about the academic structure, departments, educational opportunities, and application areas of our faculty. The interdisciplinary education approach, practical course opportunities, and sectoral collaborations within the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies were particularly emphasized. Information was also provided about post-graduation career opportunities, employment areas, and academic development opportunities.

In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çağdaş CİVELEK stated that agriculture today is not only about traditional production; it is an important scientific field that develops together with technology, sustainability, and innovation. In this context, he stated that our faculty offers students an education that meets the needs of the age by combining modern agricultural techniques and engineering approaches.

At the end of the meeting, questions from the students were answered, and an interactive discussion was held, particularly regarding the university selection process, department selection, and career orientations. It was observed that the students showed great interest in the event and that their awareness of our faculty increased.

In conclusion, it was assessed that this promotional activity contributed to students making informed choices and increased the recognition of our faculty. Similar events are planned to continue in the future.
